As per the participants, the other potential benefits of medical marijuana are:

•    Movement disorders that are associated with involuntary movements
•    Nausea and loss of appetite, mainly caused from chemotherapy
•    Insomnia and sleep disorders

Currently, around the globe, there is a lot of research that is going on to determine the short term, as well as long-term effects of using medical cannabis. However, the evaluation of medical marijuana for treating depression is still in its early stages. “Simultaneously, the scientists at University at Buffalo have started to consider medical marijuana as a possible treatment method for depression caused by chronic stress.”  According to medical cannabis doctors, introducing cannabis into the system may help in restoring the normal levels and functions of the body, which in turn help in ease the symptoms of depression.  As time pass, more studies are being conducted to assess the potential of marijuana as a prospective therapy for people dealing with depression.
